Organic Gardens & Rain Barrel Project

It’s that time of year again! What are the ISF kids working on right now, behind the scenes?

ISF Youth Volunteers are busy choosing their favorite veggies, fruits and herbs to seed, sprout and plant for our 2017 Organic Garden Project! This project was a HUGE hit last year with our youth.

With this year's focus on water conservation, we have been hard at work discussing ways to collect rainwater for watering our gardens and flowers. We have some terrific ideas so far! We will be repurposing and upcycling containers for both our plants and water collection, so stay tuned for another amazingly yummy year as our ISF YOUTH prepare to use those GREEN THUMBS and GREEN MINDS!

We will be doing a “How TO” make your own eco-friendly rain barrel for your own home and garden :) After our gardens have grown, we will be making kid friendly recipes from our very own crops, as well. Check out our social media accounts for updates on their organic goodies.
